About Teachable Moments

Teachable Moments, LLC is located in the village of Baldwinsville, a suburb of Syracuse, NY.  Its doors opened in November of 2022.


We provide tutoring, and enrichment services, for children in Preschool-6th grade on all subject matters. Middle School ELA and math sessions are available, as well as High School ELA and US History.


Teachable Moments works with families in Baldwinsville and surrounding areas such as Clay, Liverpool, Syracuse, Jamesville, Phoenix, Skaneateles, Marcellus and Cicero. 

Sessions

Sessions can be scheduled on an individual basis, or as a small group of 3-6 children. Individual sessions will be specifically geared toward your child's learning needs. Groups are comprised of same-aged children or similar learning ability. Groups can also be formed based on specific skills and/or subjects.


 A free 30-minute consultation is available to discuss your child's individual needs and learning goals. 

Interactive and Engaging Sessions

Learning should be fun and engaging. Along with explicit, systematic instruction, interactive activities are incorporated to make sessions more enjoyable and effective for students.

Meghan Chaloux

Meghan Chaloux is the owner, and founder, of Teachable Moments, LLC. 

Meghan worked in NYS public schools as an elementary classroom teacher for over 15 years. She taught 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 6th grade.

Meghan specializes in reading intervention, and is qualified to teach all subject areas to children ages 3 up to 6th grade.

Meghan graduated from SUNY Geneseo in 2005 with a Bachelors of Science in Childhood Education and Students with Disabilities. 


She continued her education at SUNY Oswego and received a Masters of Science in Literacy Education. 


Recently, Meghan has received training in LETRS. LETRS is comprehensive professional learning designed to provide
